About Me

I’m currently a game development student at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida. I graduate at the beginning of February and am currently working on a project titled Roadent Rampage. It’s a 5 month team project that is threaded, multi-player networked, and should slam the indie gaming community. Working on this project has been really fun so far and continues to comsume most of my time here in Flordia.
Before I took the plunge into the delicious world of game development, I honorably served my country in the United States Marine Corps for four years as a network administrator/engineer. In the Marine Corps I was able to see many parts of the world like Thailand, Alaska, Japan, and Iraq. Gaming was always something that eased the long trips and deployments we took. One of my favorite moments in the Marine Corps was playing our custom Warcraft 3 maps every night in Iraq. My fellow devil dogs and I would create maps with the map editor and then duke it out in massive scale battles. These experiences surely reduced the hardship of being deployed overseas and I always wished I could take this experience and harness it into a career. Knowing that I could with some effort, I decided to follow my dream of making commercial games for consumers.

Gaming has always been in my life, since I was a wee lad. I played my first game at the age of 3 on my parents’ Atari 2600. What other game would be more appropriate to start with than Pac-Man (don’t say Pong)? It’s the speed and action of that title that continues to inspire me today. I’ve always had a likeness for twitch gaming. This is rather obvious considering my favorite games of all time are: Mario Strikers Charged (Wii), Megaman 2 (NES), and Super Smash Bros. Melee. Of course, I wasn’t restricted to these titles. I dabbled in single player RPG’s for a while in the Playstation 1 generation, until I was consumed by the MMOG Ultima Online for 5 years. I didn’t waste too much time playing MMOs (at least that’s what I tell myself), but I finally realized that I wanted more game. Since then, I’ve turned away from MMOGs and focused more on multiplayer gaming (Mario Strikers Charged and TF2).
These are only some of my gaming influences. I’d love to re-tell every gaming story that’s ever happened to me, but this would become way too long. Gaming has brought me so many great memories. I just hope to one day give some of those to generous consumers.Â
